About Project Crosswalk
So what does PCW do?
• Our communities have a lot of people that need home or property repairs, but are just physically or financially unable to do them alone.
• And we have a lot of people that want to lend a hand to help their neighbors, and to share the love of God in the process.
• PCW makes the connection! People with repair needs can contact us, and we will in turn line up churches or other volunteer groups to help meet those needs.
Some examples of such repairs include: carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, wheelchair ramps, yard work, auto repairs, etc.
• Anyone can contact PCW ... we will send someone to talk with the requestor, assess the need, make repair plans, and prioritize the request.
Our priorities are widows and widowers, single moms, and struggling families.
• PCW then communicates the needs to the churches and volunteer groups, and helps match those needs to the work group skills. With a little coaching, the volunteers are off and running!
• The church groups or other volunteer work teams interface directly with those needing the repairs, sharing their talents and their love of Christ Jesus.
• Project CrossWalk provides guidelines, and ensures that the projects are completed.
