Senior lady in east Sherman needs a wheelchair ramp for her front porch steps.  She is disabled, and has trouble walking up the steps.  A ramp would be a big help to her; also in case she needs a wheelchair at a later date.  She rents this home, and has lived here for 4-5 years.  The owner has given permission for the ramp to be built.  She does not have the funds available for the materials (neither does the owner), so whoever adopts this project will need to work with a local supply company to see if materials might be donated.

The approximate length of the ramp needed is 12’.  Three of the steps are 5 ½” tall, with the top step being 7” tall.  They are 13 ½” wide (long).  A straight ramp down into the yard would probably work best, with a small concrete pad poured at the base, to tie it into the driveway.  See one of the photos below for an example (neighbor’s ramp).  She asked if the sides could be closed in, to prevent animals from getting under the ramp.
