Project Name

Project Description

Disabled lady in west Sherman needs a handrail installed on her front porch, to help her get down the steps.  She will pay for any materials needed, just needs someone to plan it and install for her.  She is a cancer survivor, but the chemo treatments severely damaged her heart (has congestive heart failure) making it very hard for her to get around.  No family in Sherman area.

Very simple installation.  She would like it to be wood (or look like wood), to match the house siding color (beige).  About 36” tall, 3 posts, with 42” long handrail along top of posts.  See photo.  Prime and paint to match color of house siding.  Top rail should be very smooth and free of splinters.  Must be anchored into concrete or porch steps to withstand someone leaning on it (side-to-side strength).

Needs to be done soon, to allow access in and out of front entrance.  Parks her car in front.
