Project Description |
Single mid-aged lady in south Denison has a bad problem with the four windows in her mobile home sweating (condensation) in the winter, saturating the walls and flooring under them and causing mildew. She recently purchased three double-paned insulated windows to install (32” x 52”). The existing windows are 30” by 53”, so the window frames will need some slight modifications. Should not be more than the addition of a 2x4 stud on the side and maybe the top of each window. May need some trim to finish out the edges of the windows. This will fix 3 of the 4 windows in the house. Someday she would also like to move the front door over in place of the existing front porch window. Should not be difficult to cut and frame the door opening in place of the window, but this would require closing the existing door opening, and some trim work and painting. Not as high a priority, but would be really nice to help her with it when possible. Not presently a health issue, but she has to clean the walls with bleach several times a week. |
