Sweet older lady in Denison that needs help with a few repairs on her home. Her son lives out of town, and will buy materials as needed to make the repairs. No other family in town. She has faithfully served in her church and community for years, helping and encouraging others, and is now in poor health and needs 24-hr care (currently has caregivers). Her home has been in her family for multiple generations and is very well-kept, but does need a few repairs soon. See the prioritized list below:

• East bedroom has ceiling damage due to roof leak. Check to be sure roof is no longer leaking. Patch if necessary. (Roof is in good condition overall.) Repair or replace the 2’ x 3’ sheetrock section, tape, bed, sand, and paint with a can of the spray-on acoustic ceiling texturing.
• A friend of the family is leveling the house, causing some wall and ceiling cracks, which he is trying to repair (tape, bed, texture, paint). If there are some that he cannot repair, help make those repairs as needed.
• The carport roof has a small leak right outside the back door. When it rains it leaks through and gets you wet if you go out this door. Find the source of leak on the roof and repair it. Paint on Kilz on the underside to cover the water stains.
• Replace the small section of linoleum in front of the kitchen sink with a new piece. Maybe 2’ x 5’. Just patch a piece in to the existing linoleum.
• Repair the small leak under the kitchen sink, in the drain line. Should be a minor repair.
• Two or three doors need new door knobs.
• Sand and paint the wrought iron front porch rails.

Contact son with list of materials and he will arrange for purchase. Will include sheetrock, tape, texture, sandpaper, paint, brushes, door knobs, linoleum (scrap piece). Opportunity to minister to and encourage this family, and the caregivers (who also live there).
